Content Safety
Last updated: 15 October 2026
Every video made on Facezy is built from photos the customer uploaded themselves. This page sets out the concrete measures that keep the content we prohibit from being merely prohibited.
1. Identified accounts
Creating anything requires signing in with a Google account. There is no anonymous use: every upload and every generation is tied to an identified account.
2. Every uploaded photo is screened automatically
When a photo is uploaded it passes two automated checks before it is stored: screening for explicit, violent or otherwise disturbing imagery, and detection of recognisable public figures. A photo that fails either is refused and never reaches our servers.
3. A second check before generation
A photo uploaded during a brief outage of the screening service is recorded as unscreened and is screened before any generation can use it, so no photo stays unchecked.
4. Filters at generation time
The AI providers we use reject, through their own content filters, requests that direct real identifiable people. Our templates are written to the same rule: they describe scenes and objects, not persons.
5. Human review and enforcement
Administrators can review generations together with their source photos. Where content breaks the rules we remove it, suspend the account, or close it permanently.
6. Short retention
Finished result videos are kept on our servers for 7 days and deleted automatically at the end of that period.
7. Reporting
If you believe a piece of content breaks our rules, write to info@facezy.co. We assess reports within 3 business days.
8. What we cannot do
To be straightforward about it: we cannot technically verify that the person uploading a photo is the person in it. Uploading someone else's photo is therefore expressly prohibited by our Terms of Use and is the user's responsibility. Our automated measures cover recognisable public figures and explicit material.
